Welcome to Worship Point Church, the website.
Allow me to introduce myself:
Born is Arkansas in 1952, my parents took me to live in Lubbock Texas,
before my 1st birthday. Growing up in West Texas was fun, dusty, and
fairly typical. With two brothers and one sister, and cousins, my dad owned
his own business, mom was a homemaker, most of that time, until I was 14.
I lost my little brother when I was 8 to an accident on our swing set, a
really sad time for all of us. Mom did a bit of foster care after that, she
missed my brother immensely.
Music became a part of my life during this time, playing cello for four years
in elementary and junior high. I learned to love music, especially classical.
I think that led to interest in guitar for my sons and building for myself.
Yes, I build acoustic guitars, and sell guitar wood to other builders.
Married to Kay for 35 years is the hallmark of my life. She is a lifelong
elementary school teacher. We have two sons, one married, and just three
weeks ago my wife and I became grandparents. Oh wow, give me a
bumper strip for my truck, "Ask me about my grand daughter!" She is
terrific. Our sons are certainly a great part of our lives together. Our
daughter in law is a fine young woman, loving our son and their daughter,
it's a beautiful thing to witness.
A few things about me: a Christian all my life practically, since I was five.
Single engine land aircraft pilot, 220 hours. College graduate: Bachelor of
Science in Business Administration, Cum Laude. Active leader in local
congregations of two churches. Self-employed in business most of my life:
Auto Repair, Residential Builder, Auto Sales Owner, Master Electrician,
Teacher, Guitar Maker. My wife was thrilled when I took a job for the
public school teaching Building Trades on the high school level for seven
years. Currently I build some nice acoustic guitars which you can see here.

After working in organized churches for over thirty years, recent events led
me to withdraw, and seek the Lord's will for the next twenty years. At age
56, you can see, I must be about my Father's business if I'm to get anything
done of real substance. Thanks for checking me out. On down the road, I'll
tell you a bit more about Worship Point Church, we're just getting started.
Sincerely, Bruce Dickey
