| Hard to believe, but in the bookshelf of my home is the Course Outline Catalog from Arkansas Tech, 1970-1971, my first year in college. Stephen came to the school in 1969 while I was a senior in high school. The edge of the catalog lists the school name as Arkansas Polytechnic College. The were trying desperately to shed the image of the cow college of 1925. They even moved the dairy barn off campus. I repaired Volkswagens in that barn as I worked my way through school. It's still there today at Shiloh community North of Russellville, Arkansas as a veterinary building. |
