331. Bonus Watercolor on the back of Tenacious Juniper After looking at this again, it seems to be a series of scratch work, fairly quick and light. I've watched Stephen cover this much ground in a matter of minutes. He was great at doing tree trunks, limbs, and appendages. Thanks for sharing this too! 330. Tenacious Juniper This watercolor by Stephen Naegle in 1961 is of a juniper tree native to southern Utah. This signed painting is early in the painter's career. Many thanks to the owner for sharing this wonderful work. Obviously done on watercolor paper the image you see is color corrected as the original had aged and yellowed without the benefit of framing under glass which is more typical. Below is a bonus painting, actually on the reverse side of this painting, possibly a scrubbed attempt or simply a little play with paints on the back of an existing work?
