Oct. 31, 2006, Posted paintings on page 23, 24, and 25,
Butte Apartments, Back Street, Red Buttes, AWS Red Butte
(wow), Sheep Skull, Dry-docked Boat, Tan Cabin,  Wide Vista,
Pipe Springs Road, Arroyo, Barn and Wire Fence.  Thanks
Dave.

Pages 26, 27, 28, added too with these Naegles:  Abstract,
Abandoned Barn, Apache Junction East, Farm and Furrowed
field, Farmer's Flatbed, Philodendron, Fall Colors over House,
Lost Spring Mesa.  An incredible acrylic, Bryce Canyon added
to Page 11, Number 61.

Oct. 30, 2006, The Jester, On page 7, Number 45,
permission comes from the Naegle Family to post this early
work of Stephen's done in 1958.  It's up.

Oct. 26, 2006, 23 Naegles Located,  1.  In an email dated
the 25th, David Naegle replies that he found 23 Naegle
paintings in the Naegle Family Collection.  

2.  Thomas Loepp Portrait of Stephen posted.  A quick
reply from a query to Mr. Loepp granted permission to post his
1977 charcoal portrait of Stephen Naegle on The Nicolaysen
Naegle Booklet.  Thank you Tom.  Visit  www.tomloepp.com  to

Oct. 25, 2006, Mushrooms in Glory,  on page 1, finally we
get to see it together.  Much appreciation to the patron of the
arts who shared this today.  I had no idea the logistics of
cataloging and building a website that could be added to on
the fly.

Oct. 24, 2006,  Two paintings Posted, on page 14, find
Coal Car and Pickets in Shadows.

Oct. 23, 2006,  Three Paintings Posted, on catalogue page
12 see The Cathedral, Fall Landscape, and Cabin in the
Woods.  Thanks Jo.  Complete listing of the Naegle Booklet
works is up on the booklet page and the index.

Oct. 21, 2006,  A former student sends three pictures of
Naegle paintings in her possession.  I have to admit, The
Cathedral is one of the best Naegle paintings ever.  He must
have been inspired by the edifice in Helena Montana because
it is a heavenly painting.  Search for St. Helena Cathedral
on the net to see the actual structure.

Also included in the large envelope is a copy of the Naegle
Booklet containing photos of twenty-two original works
of art by Stephen.  Two of the works are sculptures, a
completely different medium for Steve's talent.

Oct. 19, 2006,  Naegle Works Pages reaches the 100
Naegle Paintings Mark with the addition of twenty paintings
contained in the Masters Thesis.  Although lacking images, the
source is reliable.  Click here.

Oct. 18, 2006,  Second Photo Page added, Sightseeing

Oct. 17, 2006  On Page 14, find Navajo Sandstone -
Sunrise an 8 x 11 Oil painting announcing a showing in
Arizona.

Nov. 29, 2006  Page 55 debuts today with 5 new Naegle

Nov. 28, 2006  Today we see Page 54 with it's images
coming online.  David Naegle procured yet more paintings for

Nov. 26, 2006  Back on publishing, check out Page 53 and
view four new images of Stephen Naegle watercolors.

Nov. 20, 2006  The Cabin and Pole Fence - AWS painting  
on Page 32 is photoshopped and the reflecting image of
Stephen Naegle removed from the face of the painting.  To me,
the image is also special and is preserved intact on
Naegle Photos Various Photos page near the bottom.  
Thanks to Dave Naegle for the photo-correction effort.  I think
the name Pole Fence fits this painting, because split-rail fences
are made differently.  Page 16 images posted.  One of the
most beautiful Naegles ever is on this page, Fallen Tree
Thicket.  Many thanks to David Naegle for all his hard work!  
Also added today, Page 18 and 19 images.

Nov. 18, 2006  Page 15 Updated with Images, my favorite is
#81 Back Fence in Winter, which actually shows a wonderful
brick home in the snow and yes, there is a fence too.

Nov. 16, 2006  Update to the Works Catalogue Index  It
made sense to pull the Master's Thesis out and update and fill
the numbering of the works posted.  That lowered the overall
count which is fine, it will help to keep it straight in the future.

Nov. 13, 2006  Barns and Horses picture Permission to
Post from Southern Utah University.  The Archivist of
Sherratt Library sends a notice letter allowing the use of this
picture.  Thanks to Mary Stoltz, Mary MacDonald, and SUU.
Page 5, #34.  Also today, an image comes of a large oil
painting of Stephen's, Frontier Creek.  Take a look on
Page 2, #9.  Thanks Dave Naegle.

Nov. 11, 2006  Added Pictures of Homes where Stephen
grew up in Utah and also where he lived briefly in Arkansas.

Nov. 10, 2006  Completed 27 Straight Hours updating this
site with 84 new Naegle Paintings.  Those paintings are
located on pages 31 to 53, so creation of 22 new pages was
required.  Many paintings have at least a few details of the
work.  Many thanks to David Naegle, Stephen's nephew, his
Utah Trips #1 and #2 during October 2006 have resulted in
much you see on this site.

Nov. 9, 2006  Just wanted to point out three new images
posted, on Page 4 South Window, and on Page 17, Thicket-1
and Bear Grass all color images. The Butterfly Story, page 4.

Nov. 8, 2006  Catalogue Expanded Pages 31- 45,  David
Naegle on his Utah Trip #2 reports a bonanza of Stephen's
work.  He is still in the process of organizing, processing, and
sharing this information and images.  I too am behind the curve
having posted mostly one image on each page.  Major
Milestone today, the Catalogue exceeds the 200 mark by 13!

Nov. 6, 2006 Mueller Park Image and Detail, Page 29 is
posted, along with Zion's Canyon on Page 30.  Two abstracts
posted as well on Page 30, one of a girl, the other a design.  
Page 31 is started with two black and white newspaper
clipping images, Bare Trees and Two Trees.

Nov. 5, 2006  On Page 30 Zion's Canyon is listed as number
154, image soon.  Email regarding Utah Trip #2 in search of
Stephen Naegles work reports a "bonanza".  Celebration erupts
among Naegle art lovers everywhere, especially Arkansas.

Nov. 3, 2006  Pine at Dusk, Pond at Sunset  Amazing
additions to pages 29 and 30.  No images yet, but expected.  
One is a footnote in a letter that I missed, the other from an
email last evening, image promised.  Thanks M.

Nov. 2, 2006  Posted deskewed images of:  Coal Car, The
Precipice, and Bay Window, Pages 14 and 3, respectively.

Milestone Reached Naegle Work #150 documented on
Page 29, Snow-Covered Cottonwood Log.   An old
chess-playing buddy of Stephen's emailed his comments
remembering his friend.

Nov. 1, 2006, Posted The deskewed Cathedral, Page 12.  
The addition of Mueller Park, Number 149 is noted on Page 28,
no image.
March 8, 2010  Thanks to the Benson Family Collection for
sending Boom Town - Gone Bust, Page 70, #326 work of
Stephen Howard Naegle, Utah Watercolor Artist and Educator.

March 4, 2010  Thanks to the Lucas Family for sending Out
Behind the Cabin, Page 70, #325.  Also thanks to Roland Lee
for the photo of Hurricane Mesa, Page 18, the subject for

November 20, 2007  Notice comes from Texas that Frontier
Creek on page 2 has a new owner.  New photos soon.

October 14, 2007  Abstract Shacks, #160 was on the books a
while back, but the image was never posted, Page 31.  New
finds in the Naegle Archives, Bishop's Point 316, Shoshoni
Street 317, Prospector 318, and Barn 319 all on Page 68.

October 8, 2007  Page 67  #315 the Anderson Barn
watercolor added, Shirl, Patricia and David thanks to each of

Mar. 9, 2007  Page 66, #310 posted, Split Juniper from

Jan. 06, 2007  Searching for the quote Stephen used back
in Art class in 1970, led me to Joseph A. Mugnaini's book,
Drawing:  A Search for Form  See the quote on the Naegle
Eratta page.

Dec. 17, 2006  The Naegle Works Catalogue reaches the
milestone of 300 documented paintings, both watercolor
and oil, with a few sculptures as well.  Check Naegle Eratta
page, Stephen Naegle now recognized on Wikipedia via my
article.  

Dec. 17, 2006  Page 62 - 66 posted, includes 18 images
from the Masters Thesis 1969, Utah State University,
Stephen Naegle, Special Collections & Archives, Merril-Cazier
Library, Logan Utah.

Dec. 6, 2006  Page 62, painting #290 posted, photo image
placeholder for Granite Ridge courtesy of Steve Saville.

Dec. 5, 2006  A little light house-keeping and course
corrections.  Mainly editing names and addition of details on
the following:  Hawk, Summer Rain, Battle, Arroyo - Medicine
Bow, Fishing Boats - Oregon, Red Mountain, Storm over the
Needle, Granite Ridge.  The last two are new, no images.

Dec. 4, 2006  Pages 61 and 62 added today, Featuring
