In an email dated the 25th, David Naegle replies that he found 23 Naegle paintings in the Naegle Family Collection. 2. Thomas Loepp Portrait of Stephen posted. A quick reply from a query to Mr. Loepp granted permission to post his 1977 charcoal portrait of Stephen Naegle on The Nicolaysen Naegle Booklet. Thank you Tom. Much appreciation to the patron of the arts who shared this today. I had no idea the logistics of cataloging and building a website that could be added to on the fly. Complete listing of the Naegle Booklet works is up on the booklet page and the index. Oct. 21, 2006, A former student sends three pictures of Naegle paintings in her possession. I have to admit, The Cathedral is one of the best Naegle paintings ever. He must have been inspired by the edifice in Helena Montana because it is a heavenly painting. Search for St. Helena Cathedral on the net to see the actual structure. Also included in the large envelope is a copy of the Naegle Booklet containing photos of twenty-two original works of art by Stephen. Two of the works are sculptures, a completely different medium for Steve's talent. Nov. 20, 2006 The Cabin and Pole Fence - AWS painting on Page 32 is photoshopped and the reflecting image of Stephen Naegle removed from the face of the painting. To me, the image is also special and is preserved intact on Naegle Photos Various Photos page near the bottom. Thanks to Dave Naegle for the photo-correction effort. I think the name Pole Fence fits this painting, because split-rail fences are made differently. Page 16 images posted. One of the most beautiful Naegles ever is on this page, Fallen Tree Thicket. Many thanks to David Naegle for all his hard work! Also added today, Page 18 and 19 images. Nov. 18, 2006 Page 15 Updated with Images, my favorite is #81 Back Fence in Winter, which actually shows a wonderful brick home in the snow and yes, there is a fence too. Nov. 16, 2006 Update to the Works Catalogue Index It made sense to pull the Master's Thesis out and update and fill the numbering of the works posted. That lowered the overall count which is fine, it will help to keep it straight in the future. Nov. 13, 2006 Barns and Horses picture Permission to Post from Southern Utah University. Nov. 11, 2006 Added Pictures of Homes where Stephen grew up in Utah and also where he lived briefly in Arkansas. Click Here. Nov. 10, 2006 Completed 27 Straight Hours updating this site with 84 new Naegle Paintings. Those paintings are located on pages 31 to 53, so creation of 22 new pages was required. Many paintings have at least a few details of the work. Many thanks to David Naegle, Stephen's nephew, his Utah Trips #1 and #2 during October 2006 have resulted in much you see on this site. Nov. 9, 2006 Just wanted to point out three new images posted, on Page 4 South Window, and on Page 17, Thicket-1 and Bear Grass all color images. The Butterfly Story, page 4. Nov. 8, 2006 Catalogue Expanded Pages 31- 45, David Naegle on his Utah Trip #2 reports a bonanza of Stephen's work. He is still in the process of organizing, processing, and sharing this information and images. I too am behind the curve having posted mostly one image on each page. Major Milestone today, the Catalogue exceeds the 200 mark by 13! Nov. 6, 2006 Mueller Park Image and Detail, Page 29 is posted, along with Zion's Canyon on Page 30.
